Albi Founders Inducted into Hall of Fame

As Albi Homes Ltd. gears up to celebrate our 25th anniversary next month, proud owners Tom and Debra Mauro are elated to share another milestone as they were inducted into the CHBA-Alberta Hall of Fame on Saturday, September 22nd at the Canadian Home Builders’ Association – Alberta’s President’s Gala held in Jasper.
The Hall of Fame award recognizes individuals who have impacted the home building industry over the years and is not an annual award; the award was last presented in 2002. Saturday evening, Tom and Debra Mauro were inducted for the mark they have made on the industry for their charitable work and the significant amount they give back to the community.
Born in Italy and raised in Calgary with Italian values and passion, Tom Mauro founded the award-winning Albi Homes Ltd. in 1982 and carries great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of the luxury homes Albi builds, as well as their community involvement. “What a terrific honor this award is,” commented founder, Tom Mauro. “To be recognized in the home building industry at a provincial level is a great accomplishment for Debra and I, and of course for Albi Homes.”
Giving back to the community has been and continues to be a key foundation for the Albi family. Albi Homes has spearheaded two very successful Miracle Homes resulting in 100% of the proceeds going to the Children’s Hospital and YWCA’s Native Women Shelter, and has participated in various charitable efforts including long term partnerships with organizations and general support of local efforts. “The Hall of Fame is such a great honor,” responded Albi Co-Chairperson, Debra Mauro, “this award represents the significance of giving the gift of time to so many who are in need. We live in a wonderful community and have the support of a wonderful team that believes in our product and shares our values. We truly are blessed.”
Since their inception in 1982, Albi Homes has built close to 3,000 homes throughout Calgary.
