Albi Leads Industry in Health & Safety

Albi Homes Ltd. is proud to announce the company as recipient of the 2008 Health and Safety Leader Award of Distinction.
The award which is presented by the Alberta Chambers of Commerce recognizes organizations that lead the industry with a well-designed and implemented health and safety program, as well as holds a proven track record with injury prevention.
Deemed the leader throughout Alberta for 2008 fills Albi with great satisfaction in the success of their Health and Safety Program however the company is also quick to mention that the program is not about the award. “The award is a great accomplishment for the company as we have been working quite diligently to ensure health and safety is front and centre”, commented Grant Hamel, Occupational Health & Safety Officer with Albi Homes, “however at the end of the day our priorities are with our homeowners visiting their homes under construction, the many trade partners working on the homes, and our employees who are both on-site and in the office.”
As a part of the health and safety program, all Albi employees have successfully completed the Construction Safety Training System and various employees have received training in occupational health and safety, first aid, fall protection, fire awareness, and driver safety. Albi is a member of the Residential Home Builders Safety Group through the Canadian Home Builders Association Calgary, is the recipient of the 2006 CHBA Safety Award, and the three-time recipient (2004-2006) of Best Safety Performer from Work Safe Alberta.
