Albi Founder Tom Mauro Honoured as SAIT’s Alumni of the Year

Tom Mauro, Founder and Chairman of Albi Homes, immigrated from Italy in 1953, and in 1977 graduated from SAIT as a journeyman carpenter. He never would have guessed that in 2010 he would be honored as SAIT’s Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. Hard work, dedication, and education are the pillars that Tom says have gotten him to where he is today.
Founding Albi Homes in 1982 has given Tom the vehicle to give back to SAIT which he believes is one of the best technical Institutions in Canada. He is also one of SAIT’s Founding Builders in support of its new Trades and Technology Complex.
